Dhaulagiri Expedition

45 Days 44 Nights

Dhaulagiri Expedition is one of Nepal’s most formidable peak climbs. The first successful summit was achieved in 1960. Dhaulagiri’s immense size is unmatched by any other peak in the region. Towering more than 7,000 meters above the Kali Gandaki Valley, it stretches approximately 30 kilometers in length—an impressive scale by any measure. Most climbers ascend via the original “Normal Route,” though various other routes have been pioneered from nearly every direction.

The Dhaulagiri massif features five ridges and two prominent faces on the south and west sides, each rising about 4,000 meters from their respective base camps. The massif includes five main summits: Dhaulagiri I (8,167m), Dhaulagiri II (7,751m), Dhaulagiri III (7,715m), Dhaulagiri IV (7,661m), and Dhaulagiri V (7,618m). Surrounding the massive 8,000-meter peak are notable mountains such as Churen Himal Main (7,371m), Gurja Himal (6,342m), Putha Hiunchuli (7,246m), and Junction Peak (4,235m).
