The Nar Phu Valley Trek via Kang La Pass is a hidden gem located in one of Nepal’s restricted regions, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and untouched natural beauty. Opened to foreign trekkers only in 2003, this remote valley requires a special trekking permit, which must be obtained through a registered trekking agency. Additionally, trekkers must be accompanied by a government-licensed guide. Everest Alpine Trekking is fully authorized to arrange both permits and experienced guides for the Nar Phu Valley Trek.
Tucked away in the northern Annapurna region, Nar Phu Valley offers a rare and authentic experience of Tibetan-influenced culture and lifestyle. Inhabited mainly by Tibetan refugees, the valley feels like a step back in time, with traditional stone villages, ancient monasteries, and yak pastures set against a dramatic high-mountain backdrop.
The trek is not only culturally immersive but also visually spectacular. Along the trail, you’ll be rewarded with awe-inspiring views of some of the world’s most stunning peaks, including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Tilicho Peak, and Lamjung Himal. For those seeking an off-the-beaten-path Himalayan adventure steeped in tradition and beauty, the Nar Phu Valley Trek is an unforgettable journey.
