Overview
Pikey Peak (4,065m) offers one of the best panoramic views in Nepal, including Everest, Dhaulagiri, Makalu, and even Kanchenjunga. A favorite of Sir Edmund Hillary, it’s an easy one-hour hike from base camp to the summit, decorated with prayer flags and Buddhist chortens. Sunrise and sunset views here are truly magical—many say even better than Kala Patthar. On clear days, all eight of Nepal’s 8,000-meter peaks are visible. Named after a Sherpa clan deity, Pikey Peak also hosts local celebrations in July to honor Chyabo Pikey. It’s a perfect mix of beauty, culture, and spiritual energy.
